Working with senior stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs and MDs, we advise on financial restructuring / refinancing, operational restructuring, profit improvement programs, formal restructuring appointments (including Voluntary Administrations, Receiverships and Liquidations) cash generation / working capital analysis, and large-scale complex transformational change, all to deliver sustainable financial outcomes and long-term growth.

What will your typical day look like? Work with a team of creative and passionate people to bring calm clarity to special situations. Expect every day at work to be challenging and rewarding as you help to advise high-profile businesses to address underperformance and help them get back on their feet. You will work as part of diverse teams to diagnose root causes of client underperformance and design programs to improve their operations and profitability, generate cash and carry out transformations. You will build your leadership, negotiation and influencing skills as you support a wide range of stakeholders in developing and implementing turnaround strategies. You are passionate about data, want to use the latest technology, you love workshopping problems, and you want to keep building your analytical, operational, strategic and financial skills.
Key requirements:
- 2 years + of strong prior restructuring and turnaround experience, or comparable experience working for consulting companies or in practice on matters of financial performance and reporting, operational restructuring, or financial management
- Self-starter with ability to think laterally about complex problems, and to design bespoke solutions, often in a fast-moving environment
- Strong analytical, modelling, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability and willingness to work with ambiguity and change
- Strong drive for self-learning and personal development
- Sound understanding of large formal insolvency appointments, restructuring and turnaround, and accounting principles is favourable
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams to deliver exceptional outcomes
- A drive to foster a supportive and inclusive environment, with a love of working in and leading a strong team
- A positive mindset with strong commercial and interpersonal skills, and a desire to deliver exceptional customer service
- Unrelenting commitment to ethics, integrity and “doing the right thing”
- Relevant qualifications or equivalents (eg, CAANZ, ARITA, FINSIA)
